Lately I've been feeling very disillusioned by the music industry and streaming services. Spotify, which has never been particularly artist-friendly, is now flooded with bots and ai music. Daniel Ek is even investing your subscription fees into military tech…it's all very dystopian.

I recently bought a shitty ipod knock off that's been healing my relationship with music. Adding the friction of finding songs, choosing which ones will fit on my SD card and listening without any connection to the internet has been SO fun. I really encourage everyone to try it.
